We all need to rest and recharge sometimes – and, often, giving ourselves a much-needed 'brain break' can lead to epiphanies when we get back home.
You don’t have to venture far to have epic travel experiences – to try something new, to push yourself outside your comfort zone, and/or to make lifelong memories with new friends.
I’m all about transforming yourself through travel, but I know travel isn’t always possible for everyone. So… how do you transform yourself through travel when you can’t actually go away for months or weeks at a time?

I’ve loved travelling and visiting new places for as long as I can remember, but the past two months have been the first time I’ve really pushed myself outside my comfort zone in all kinds of different – and scary – ways. As a result, I’ve come to learn so many things about the world, and about myself.
Staying in coliving spaces has been a real eye-opener for many different reasons, but one of the main things I’m seeing is just how many ways there are to make money while you’re travelling the world.

There are so many types of trips that can help us transform ourselves and our lives (and these can often overlap), but I've whittled them down to these main 8.

We all need a little mindset reset sometimes. Leaving our home countries, immersing ourselves in other cultures, and meeting new people and seeing how they live can all give us some much-needed perspective and appreciation.
Sometimes, what we need most is... rest. Sleep. Massage. Relaxing on a beach or looking out at a beautiful lake. Our lives can be so hectic, we can forget to fulfil our most basic R&R needs. An intentional R&R trip, then, can do wonders.
